Toby Sowery Secures Podium Finish at Monza in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe

Toby Sowery, racing alongside Darren Leung and Jake Dennis, delivered a stellar performance at the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in Monza this weekend. Representing Century Motorsport in the #991 BMW M4 GT3, the trio showcased exceptional skill and teamwork to secure a second-place finish in the highly competitive Bronze Cup category.

The weekend began with strong form as the team set impressive lap times during the free practice sessions. the team set a blistering time of 1:45.087 during free practice, placing them among the class leaders heading into the race. In pre-qualifying, the #991 BMW continued to shine, maintaining a competitive pace and setting the stage for a strong race result.

Monza’s iconic high-speed layout and tight chicanes offered a challenging yet rewarding test for the drivers. The 87-lap race saw Sowery, Leung, and Dennis execute a seamless strategy, combining precise driving and well-timed pit stops to maintain their position at the sharp end of the Bronze Cup field. A standout moment included Sowery’s ability to handle intense on-track battles contributing to the team’s podium-worthy performance.

The second-place finish marked a significant achievement for the team, highlighting their preparation and resilience in one of Europe’s most prestigious GT racing championships. For Darren Leung, it was a continuation of his success following his British GT Championship win, while Sowery’s single-seater experience and Dennis’s GT expertise proved to be a perfect match.
