British racing driver Toby Sowery delivered an outstanding performance in the 20th edition of the Dubai 24 Hour at the Dubai Autodrome. Winning the GT3AM Class with Paradine Competition
Driving the new BMW M4 GT3 EVO Sowery made an impressive start, climbing from 8th to 2nd place by the fifth corner of the opening lap and taking the overall lead shortly after.
This event marked the debut of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, a car that Sowery and his co-drivers—Darren Leung, Ahmad Al Harthy, and Simon Traves—had qualified on class pole during Friday’s session.
The Dubai 24 Hour, held from January 10–12, 2025, is famous for its demands on both drivers and machinery. Sowery’s performance, especially in the early stages, highlighted his ability to adapt seamlessly between single-seater racing to endurance events.
The team completed 586 laps over the 24 hours without major issues or incidents. On just the second lap, Sowery set a blistering time that remained the second-fastest lap until around lap 530. By the end of the event, after a total of 30015 laps were completed by a starting grid of 65 cars and over 260 drivers , Sowery’s time ranked as the sixth-fastest lap overall.
The team took the chequered flag as winners of the GT3AM class and in P5 overall.
