Toby Sowery delivered a standout performance for CrowdStrike Racing by APR at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, helping the No. 04 ORECA secure second place in LMP2 and move to the top of the overall IMSA championship standings.

George Kurtz qualified and started the car, completing the opening stints before handing over to Sowery around 90 minutes into the six-hour race.  From there, Sowery became central to the No. 04’s charge.

Completing three consecutive stints and spending more than two hours and 40 minutes behind the wheel, Sowery drove the longest portion of the race and helped establish the car as a genuine contender at the front of the LMP2 field.

His pace, consistency, and car management through the demanding middle phase of the race put CrowdStrike Racing by APR firmly in the fight for victory before he handed over to Alex Quinn for the closing stages.

Quinn continued the charge, closing to within a second of the race-leading No. 99 AO Racing entry before a late caution brought the contest to an end, leaving the No. 04 crew with an impressive second-place finish.

The result means CrowdStrike Racing by APR now leads the overall IMSA LMP2 Championship, while the team sits second in the Michelin Endurance Cup standings.

For Sowery, who contests the endurance rounds of the IMSA season, the Watkins Glen result adds another major performance to an already impressive 2026 campaign, following victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and a strong points finish at Sebring.

With two podiums from the opening three endurance races, Sowery, Kurtz and Quinn remain firmly in contention for the Michelin Endurance Cup heading into Toby’s next race, the Motul SportsCar Grand Prix at Road America.
